Scots Gap Surgery
Many of you will already have seen in the local press about the changes that have happened around the allocation of district nurses and health visitors attached to practices. Sadly, these changes have been forced upon us affecting our practice rather heavily. Our district nurses, work closely with the doctors to enable them to offer excellent care to patients in our unique practice area. As a direct result Dawn Robson has already been lost from our team. We have continued to fight for our district nursing cover to be provided from the Scots Gap and Stamfordham surgeries and we now feel more assured that this will be the case with Heather staying on to cover both district and practice nurse roles.
Our health visitor, Sue Wilson has also been removed from the practice and similarly been moved into a larger team elsewhere. This means that Health Visitor cover will come from Rebecca Brown based at Ponteland Health Centre instead of the surgery, and she can be contacted on 01661 864565 where a message can be left in necessary or mobile 07919 592293. Rebecca will be at our surgeries for baby clinics when they are on or can be contacted through our Scots Gap number each Friday.
